随着时代的进步，新工科建设是当前我国高等工程教育改革的重大行动计划，不仅对传统工程教育教学理念、学科专业结构、人才培养模式、实践创新平台和教师队伍建设等提出了新挑战，也对高校课程思政建设工作提出了许多新要求。
