    随着当前信息技术的发展越来越迅速，其为地理信息系统奠定了技术基础，使地理信息系统也在不断地更新。地理信息系统在生活中应用较为广泛，其为外业测量提供了很好的技术支撑，使测量工作变得高效且准确，推动了测量事业的前进步伐。本文对城市地理信息系统的应用优势进行分析，探究城市地理信息系统在测绘工程中的应用，旨在为同行业人员作参考意见，解决在测量工作中遇到的实际问题。
